Wonderworks Contemporary Craft Fair takes place in the beautiful Dartmoor town of Chagford.

Devon's acclaimed Wonderworks will showcase the work of some of the best contemporary craft makers in the South West in Jubilee Hall over the weekends of 27th-28th July 2024 and 30th November-1st December 2024. 

​We welcome applications from South West makers for one or both shows using our single application form below. 

Each of our designer-makers is hand-picked via a rigorous selection process for their distinctive designs, innovative methods and contemporary appeal. Wonderworks supports both established and emerging makers in the South West who work to the highest standards.

    WONDERWORKS APPLICATION 2024
    SUMMER /WINTER SHOWS

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS  

    Wonderworks 2024 will focus purely on craft. Setting up is from 3pm-7pm on the Friday 26th July and Friday 29th November. Setting up on Saturday is not permitted so please ensure you are available for Friday afternoon set-up. 

    DISPLAY: Your exhibition space measures approximately 6 feet long by 2 feet wide with limited room around the table which is provided. (You can, if you wish, adapt your stand to fit these measurements but please keep this within the overall dimensions).

    Wonderworks attracts a high standard of exhibitor.  However, we do recommend that great care is taken with your stand display to uphold these standards and contribute to making Wonderworks even better.

    PAYMENT: Your payment of £150.00 per show will cover the cost of your stand as well as publicity, hall hire and associated costs, so anything you make from sales will go direct to you with no commission being asked.

    INSURANCE: We are unable to provide public liability insurance cover so you will need to ensure you have valid cover for the period. If you are accepted, we will request evidence of your valid insuance together with your payment.

    PUBLICITY: Publicity will be a professionally designed invitation/leaflet and posters, with articles/notices in the local press and social media. We ask all participants to actively assist us with publicity distribution through their own mailing lists and to promote your participation in the event through all your social media channels, commenting and reposting as much as possible. From the experience of previous years this is a highly successful way of attracting visitors so do please help us with this. Please use @wonderworkscontemporarycraft in all your posts so we can share.

    CHARITY: This year we are supporting a local charity, TBC. A raffle will be held on the Sunday afternoon at each event. We will be asking exhibitors to contribute a piece of work for this raffle which should be given to us during the setting up time on Friday (min. value of £20). This is a condition of entry. Please be generous.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: For cancellations notified 12 weeks before the show date, all payments, less an admin charge of £50 will be refunded. After that date, refunds, less the admin charge, will be made if your place can be taken up by somebody else. Should the event be cancelled by the organisers due to circumstances beyond our control, (eg COVID) we will attempt to refund you, but please be aware that we may have already incurred costs relating to admin and publicity and therefore we may not  be able to fully refund participants. There will be no further liability on the part of the organisers.

    REFRESHMENTS: A café will be available for the duration of the event.
    Please upload 4 high (300dpi up to 10mb) quality images of your work. Selection is based on your images.  Please ensure they clearly represent work you will be exhibiting and preferably on a plain background, clearly labelled with your name.

    The images will be used on the Wonderworks website and for printed publicity so please ensure they are of the highest quality.

    It must be your own handcrafted work and no bought in craft will be allowed.
